Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic skin procedure that involves the use of sterilized micro needles that gently prick the skin, creating tiny holes in the top layer of the skin. The damage helps stimulate your skin’s natural healing process, leading to a production in collagen and elastin. These proteins help keep the skin firm and looking smooth. Microneedling can be done on the face, neck, legs, back, stomach or wherever there are stretch marks, scars, or skin damage.
Microneedling has both cosmetic and medical uses. You may consider microneedling if you’re concerned about: Fine lines and wrinkles, Acne scarring, Skin discolouration

IV Therapy
You must be a current patient to book IV therapy. If you are not a patient, please book an initial consultation with Dr. Rahima, Dr. Deanna, Dr. Farah, Dr. Emile, Dr. Sanam, or Dr. Carole. For guidance, please call our clinic - 519-573-6700.
About IV therapy: when you are suffering from chronic illness, digestive concerns or stress, the body is not always able to produce the energy required to heal itself. Taking oral supplements are not enough at this point since your stomach and intestines can’t absorb nutrients at a high enough concentration to allow your body to absorb them without significant effort. This is when IV treatments help.
With IV treatments, nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream. This creates a concentration gradient that allows nutrients to be delivered to the cells passively, with little or no effort from the body. Eventually, as your body heals and gains back its strength, your cells regain their ability to actively absorb vitamins and minerals and IV treatments are no longer necessary.
Naturopathic IV treatments can support a variety of conditions including: fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic stress/burnout, fibromyalgia, sleep disorders, headaches/migraines, decreased immune function, frequent infections, digestive concerns, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's Disease, detoxification, dehydration, athletic/muscle recovery, cancer.

Nutrition
Holistic nutritionists look at the body as a whole in which the individual organs and body systems work in harmony. As soon as one of them is out of balance, the whole body cannot function at its full potential. Consequently, our nutritional protocols address the root cause of imbalances and provide nutrients for the body’s natural healing processes.
Holistic nutritionists consider a whole food diet, free of artificial additives, preservatives, GMO and hard to pronounce ingredients, as the most appropriate fuel for our body. Sage’s nutritional programs are highly individualized based on our belief that no diet is appropriate for everyone. With keeping your unique biochemistry in mind, we tailor a specific plan for you that is based on your eating and lifestyle habits. To identify your internal imbalances, food sensitivity, stressor testing, live blood cell analysis or other testing may be offered as part of your nutritional program.
Dietitian
Registered Dietitians (RD) are regulated health professionals who use their expertise in nutrition and food, translate up-to-date scientific, medical and nutrition evidence into practical information to enhance the lives and improve the health of their clients and populations.
To become an RD, an accredited 4-year or equivalent degree, an accredited dietetic internship or supervised practical training, and successful completion of the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination are required.
RDs use the science of nutrition to help clients understand the connection between food and health, and provide personalized guidance and practical strategies that are manageable and tailored to their client’s specific goals and preferences.
Collaboration with clients, caregivers, and other health professionals is central to dietetic practice whether a dietitian works in a private practice or within a health care team.
Weight Management
Effective weight management and metabolic health necessitate a highly personalized care plan. Each individual's genetics, lifestyle, environment, and response to dietary and lifestyle modifications are unique. Addressing every facet of health and wellness is crucial for achieving optimal results.
The initial step involves a comprehensive assessment where our Naturopathic Doctor will delve into your complete health history, prior medical background, family history, and dietary and lifestyle habits. Following this visit, you may be recommended lifestyle alterations, supplements, and potentially further diagnostic tests. Subsequent appointments provide an opportunity to address any queries, fine-tune the treatment, and review test findings.
A Naturopathic approach to weight loss encompasses factors such as blood work, other labs, diet, exercise, sleep, stress levels, family history, medications, supplements, and personal preferences. Naturopathic Medicine combines the best of rigorous scientific knowledge and Eastern philosophies to assist you in managing your health and averting illness.

Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the treatment on a body’s joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissue to reduce pain and improve a person’s general health and wellbeing. Massage Therapy can be a great natural approach to a variety of ailments within the body, from treating pain and previous injuries to addressing stress management. Massage Therapy, on its own or as a part of a greater health care team, can be a powerful approach in helping to achieve that integration and improve health overall.
Massage Therapy - Prenatal
Prenatal massage is a specialized form of massage therapy designed for pregnant women. It aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and promote overall well-being. It is important to seek out a massage therapist who is experienced in prenatal massage to ensure that the treatment is tailored to the specific needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies.
There are several benefits of prenatal massage for expectant mothers:
Reduction of Muscle Tension and Pain: Pregnancy can cause discomfort due to increased weight and changes in posture. Massage can help alleviate muscle tension and pain, particularly in areas like the lower back, neck, hips, and legs.
Improved Circulation: Prenatal massage can enhance blood circulation, benefiting both the mother and the baby. Better circulation can help reduce swelling in the extremities and can provide more nutrients to the fetus.
Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Pregnancy can be emotionally challenging. Massage therapy can promote relaxation by releasing endorphins and reducing stress hormones like cortisol.
Better Sleep Quality: Many pregnant women struggle with insomnia. Prenatal massage can help improve sleep patterns by relaxing tense muscles and promoting a sense of well-being.
Preparation for Labor: Some studies suggest that regular prenatal massage can help prepare the body for labor by improving muscle tone and flexibility.
Alleviation of Edema: Swelling, or edema, is common during pregnancy, especially in the legs and feet. Massage can help reduce fluid retention and swelling by improving circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Relief from Headaches: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can lead to frequent headaches. Massage therapy can help alleviate tension headaches and migraines by reducing muscle tension and promoting relaxation.
Massage Therapy - Baby + Youth
Baby and toddler massages are a safe, simple, and rewarding practice with numerous benefits.
Some benefits you may experience include:
Sensory Stimulation: Gentle touch during a massage stimulates the baby or toddler’s sensory pathways, helping to develop their sense of touch, proprioception (awareness of their body in space), and overall body awareness.
Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Massage can help babies and toddlers relax by promoting the release of oxytocin (the “love hormone”) and reducing levels of cortisol (the stress hormone). This may lead to improved sleep patterns, reduced restlessness, and less irritability.
Promotion of Digestion: For babies especially, gentle abdominal massage can aid in digestion and alleviate discomfort from gas or constipation. It can help regulate bowel movements and reduce colic symptoms.
Support for Physical Development: Massaging can contribute to the development of muscle tone and coordination. For toddlers, it may also help improve flexibility and joint mobility.
Boosting the Immune System: Some studies suggest that regular massage may help enhance the immune system function in babies and toddlers, potentially reducing the frequency of illnesses.
Emotional Well-being: Regular massage can contribute to a child’s overall emotional well-being by promoting a positive mood, reducing anxiety, and enhancing self-esteem.
Our therapist can offer suggestions on how you can continue the treatment at home to maintain these benefits.
