About IV therapy: when you are suffering from chronic illness, digestive concerns or stress, the body is not always able to produce the energy required to heal itself. Taking oral supplements are not enough at this point since your stomach and intestines can’t absorb nutrients at a high enough concentration to allow your body to absorb them without significant effort. This is when IV treatments help.

With IV treatments, nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream. This creates a concentration gradient that allows nutrients to be delivered to the cells passively, with little or no effort from the body. Eventually, as your body heals and gains back its strength, your cells regain their ability to actively absorb vitamins and minerals and IV treatments are no longer necessary.

Naturopathic IV treatments can support a variety of conditions including: fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic stress/burnout, fibromyalgia, sleep disorders, headaches/migraines, decreased immune function, frequent infections, digestive concerns, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's Disease, detoxification, dehydration, athletic/muscle recovery, cancer.

Acupuncture improves the body’s function and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific areas known as acupuncture points. The most common method used to stimulate these points is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. Other stimulation techniques include: tui na massage, moxibustion or heat therapy, cupping, and gua sha.

Acupuncture has an effect on the nervous system, endocrine and immune systems, cardiovascular system, and digestive system. By stimulating these various systems, acupuncture may help to resolve pain, and improve sleep, digestive function, and sense of well-being on a mental, emotional and physical level.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture is a complex system of healing rooted in thousands of years of practice. It has gained popularity in the West due to it’s effectiveness in treating a wide range of ailments.
During a treatment acupuncture points will be stimulated using single use needles, moxibustion and other modalities to activate qi or energy. This energy travels along pathways throughout the body known as meridians or channels. When these energy channels are blocked, qi cannot flow freely, which causes physical, mental and emotional health imbalances.
Acupuncture assists the body in healing by opening these meridians and stimulating the free flow of qi to encourage balance and health within the body. Acupuncture promotes natural healing by restoring balance to the body. It may be used to manage pain, enhance immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well being. Acupuncture is a safe, gentle and effective way to treat a wide variety of health problems

Live Blood Cell Analysis is an in-office assessment of nutritional imbalances and altered blood ecology patterns. A single drop of blood obtained by finger prick is examined at high magnification with a dark-field microscope which is connected to a television screen. The immediate results are observed by both client and practitioner.
Our blood transports essential nutrients and oxygen to every cell in the body and carries away waste metabolites to the liver and kidneys for elimination. Therefore, the condition of red and white blood cells, platelets as well as certain other indicators in the blood plasma provide valuable information about how our internal environment is working.
Live blood cell microscopy may be of value in the early assessment of environmental sensitivity, imbalanced terrain, compromised immunity and other conditions before real symptoms appear. It acts as an educational “feedback mechanism”, motivating people to introduce nutritional and lifestyle changes. Follow up live blood cell analysis provides feedback on one’s progress as improved nutrition impacts the blood.

Prenatal massage is a specialized form of massage therapy designed for pregnant women. It aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and promote overall well-being. It is important to seek out a massage therapist who is experienced in prenatal massage to ensure that the treatment is tailored to the specific needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies.
There are several benefits of prenatal massage for expectant mothers:
Reduction of Muscle Tension and Pain: Pregnancy can cause discomfort due to increased weight and changes in posture. Massage can help alleviate muscle tension and pain, particularly in areas like the lower back, neck, hips, and legs.
Improved Circulation: Prenatal massage can enhance blood circulation, benefiting both the mother and the baby. Better circulation can help reduce swelling in the extremities and can provide more nutrients to the fetus.
Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Pregnancy can be emotionally challenging. Massage therapy can promote relaxation by releasing endorphins and reducing stress hormones like cortisol.
Better Sleep Quality: Many pregnant women struggle with insomnia. Prenatal massage can help improve sleep patterns by relaxing tense muscles and promoting a sense of well-being.
Preparation for Labor: Some studies suggest that regular prenatal massage can help prepare the body for labor by improving muscle tone and flexibility.
Alleviation of Edema: Swelling, or edema, is common during pregnancy, especially in the legs and feet. Massage can help reduce fluid retention and swelling by improving circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Relief from Headaches: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can lead to frequent headaches. Massage therapy can help alleviate tension headaches and migraines by reducing muscle tension and promoting relaxation.

Neurofeedback is a safe, drug free, non-invasive method of training that teaches your brain to be efficient and effective. The electricity generated by the Central Nervous System processing can be detected by sensors placed on the scalp and displayed on a monitor in real time. With specially designed computer software, information about the performance and behaviour of the brain is then presented to the individual via visual and auditory perception. The information enables the brain to improve processing capacity, efficiency and resilience.
Neurofeedback training is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience that typically lasts between 35 to 45 minutes per session.
At the start of your session a certified NeurOptimal® trainer will discuss your goals, progress and current condition before attaching five tiny sensors to your scalp and ears.
Once training starts, you don’t have to do anything but sit calmly and listen to soothing music. You can take a nap, read a book or watch colourful images morph across a computer screen.
While training, you will notice occasional brief interruptions or skips in the music. That is the special NeurOptimal® signal that gently encourages your brain to reset, rebalance and optimize itself.
At the end of the session you will most likely feel calmer, happier and mentally more clear.

Hello I am Mara. Thank you for your time in considering working with me.Throughout my years in practice as a massage therapist, I have learned and developed an approach to therapeutic treatments that I call the “Living Body” approach.

Using an extensive knowledge of anatomy, patterns of injuries and recovery, I offer a gentle approach to massage therapy using the body’s innate intelligence to help let go of tension, stress, and physical discomfort. Unlike most massages, this approach is performed over clothing using an intentional process of specific techniques that works with the nervous system, fascial trains, and joint structure in order to help bring you back into the experience of your body. For patients, this means that undressing is not necessary and that no oils or lotions would be used during your appointment.

During my studies at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, I focused my time with public practice in hospice care (120+hours) and sports massage (100+hours) which allowed me to develop my palpation of treating over clothes and seeing the beneficial effects of this non-painful approach. This has also been helpful for patients who are not accustomed to western way of life who may find disrobing to be uncomfortable but unable to voice out their concern.

As I continued to expand my education in clinical practice, I learned about various techniques that uses body positioning, joint alignment, nerve points/reflex areas, and cranial balancing to provide a deeply relaxing experience that can also helps to alleviate acute and chronic physical pain and discomfort.

Aside from massage therapy I spend my time authoring books on meditation and philosophy, teaching meditative calligraphy, filmmaking, skateboarding, and cultivating bonsai.

Hello I am Mara. Thank you for your time in considering working with me.Throughout my years in pr... Read More
